An exceptional landscape
When Redon's rivers meet up with the granite and schist cliff , the visitor has a bird's eye view!
Here, it's the river Oust which flows along the edge of the slopes then weaves its way through the faults in the rock face to form gorges, the most magnificent of them being the "Ile aux Pies".

A listed Natural site
The only valley registered as a listed natural site in inland Brittany, it covers 15 kilometres. One can see everywhere where the human hand has been at work; the canal and its locks, an orchard with grafted chestnut trees, a marsh filled with miraculous souvenirs of fishing exploits and to top the list, old granite, slate or clay quarries...
Informative walking circuits
A dozen or so quiet and peaceful beauty spots on the edge of the riverbanks where there are many walking trails accompanied by interpretation panels offering information on; the bargemen and their past, the story of the chestnut tree, the treasures of Magpie island or the local stories and legends revealing a part of their secrets.
