Chapput : An atypical artist
This lovable, atypical artist left Paris in 1970 to set up his workshop in a priory in la Chapelle Gaceline where he would create the larger part of his works (3,000 paintings, 1,000 drawings, sculptures, ceramic ornaments.) One may admire the richly coloured paintings of this artist that has been qualified as a musicalist.
Art for everyone
This museum was created in 2002 in the calm and relaxing setting of a 15 th Century priory with the intention of bringing art accessible to all. It houses Jean Charles Chapput's works along with a modern art exhibition. Art magazines and papers are also at the visitor's disposal along with videos on well known artists or museums.
