The "Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Redon" is a non-profit association, created in November 1970, whose aim is to federate all the actors in order to design a development project for tourism economy.
It steps in on the territory of the Pays de Redon which brings together 5 "communautés de communes" (grouping of local authorities) on 3 Départements (Ille et Vilaine, Loire-Atlantique and Morbihan) and on 2 Régions (Britanny and Pays de la Loire):
- Pays de Redon: 24 towns or villages
- Canton de Pipriac: 10 towns or villages
- Canton de Grand-Fougeray: 4 towns or villages
- Pays de Maure de Bretagne: 9 towns or villages
- Pays de La Gacilly : 9 towns or villages
* The town of Pénestin also adheres to the association, but individually.

These 56 towns gather 88 364 inhabitants according to the latest census in 2006.
The mission of the "Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Redon" is to contribute to:
* the development of the tourism offer,
* the organisation of the production and the promotion of the tourism offer,
* the local tourism animation,
* the tourist welcoming and information, with the tourist offices of the Pays,
* the promotion of the tourism offer and its marketing,
* the observation of the local tourism economy.

The "Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Redon" is taking various actions.
- The support to the projects owners: the accompaniment to the set-up of public and private projects on technical, economic and financial aspects. It processes in particular some grant application (Région and Département).
Examples: creation of a self-catering cottage accessible to the disabled in Renac and set-up of leisure facilities in a campsite.
- The heritage development: intervention in the towns and villages to design and carry out some interpretative trails.
Examples: creation of an interpretative trail " The Deep Spring and Big Rocks of the Quip mill" in Allaire and elaboration of a leaflet "Jeunes découvreurs en Pays de Redon" (Young discoverers in Pays de Redon).
- The development of the "Tourism and handicap" label: technical support for the professionals to the certification (facilities pre-diagnosis and advice) and communication about the disabled-friendly offer on the territory.
Examples: creation of a visit of Redon adapted for the visually impaired, the visually handicapped, the hearing-impaired and "Tourism and handicap" certification for a self-catering cottage in La Gacilly.
- To raise public awareness about sustainable tourism: training and awarenness actions to the environment management of tourist sites.
Examples: Training days for the professionals about the ecological acts, renovation and housing.
- The development of the hiking offer: Support to the villages, to the "Communautés de communes" and to the associations for the setting up of a quality offer in the Pays de Redon (walking trails, bicycle and mountain bike rides) and promotion of these trails.
Examples: Creation of local bike circuits in the "Communautés de communes" of Grand-Fougeray, Pipriac and Maure de Bretagne and mountain bike trails leaflets.
Promotion and Communication: Development actions for the accommodation and leisure offer in the Pays de Redon (publications, website, fairs, actions in shopping malls...).
Examples: The website www.tourisme-pays-redon.com was made accessible for the visually impaired and the visually handicapped and creation of a tourist map in 3D perspective.
- Tourist information: welcoming of tourists in Redon and Gumémené-Penfao, guided tours of Redon and organisation of summer events.
Examples: 152 000 visits on the website of "Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Redon" and 1100 tourists for the guided tour of Redon.
